Great hotel for exploring the city.

Pros: Location, comfortable
Cons: Nothing immediately springs to mind
Location: All of Edinburghs attractions are within easy reach on foot or public transport, from this hotel
Clean, comfortable hotel in an excellent location for exploring the city. This was our 2nd stay here and I would still recommend it.

Great 3 days away

The hotel was great value for money and in a great location, really close to the Royal Mile. Room was really big and clean with high ceilings and widows.

Great hotel in great location

Hotel is in the center of Edinburgh really close to everything in walking distance! Very nice modern rooms and friendly staff would definitely go back and recommend!

City break

The location of the hotel was fabulous - right in the middle of the city centre with only a 5-10 minute walk to both the castle and cathedral, or across the bridge to the shops (also only 2 minutes from the airport bus stop!) The hotel itself is almost easy to miss from the street but really great inside and the room was brilliant - very spacious and incredibly clean. The staff were friendly and very welcoming, I would definitely recommend!

Had all essentials for a short trip

Clean, comfortable with all basic requirements. 3-4 minute walk from Edinburgh Waverley and the Bus stop for Airport (30minute ride), also a stones throw from Edinburgh castle and many shopping opportunities. Worthwhile place to stay, Arthur's Seat also worth seeing nearby. Well worth my money paid.

Very, very enjoyable stay

Locating the place took a while, because The Inn Place sign was not as overt as I am used to in my home city, but searching for the location was the only hardship of my three-night stay. The staff were incredibly friendly, ready to help out with anything that I needed. The Internet connection was super-fast as well, something that I did not expect. Overall a very pleasant experience I'll definitely be staying here again if I ever find myself back in Edinburgh.

Excellent Value for money

Great location and friendly, helpful staff. Interesting decor throughout, very modern and chic yet simple. Checking in and out was uncomplicated - its a quiet no-drama style of hotel which i'm a fan of. Nice modern touches with nice accent and mood lighting and wireless door keys etc.. Despite a free upgrade, we had a few glitches with our room, we couldn't get the water from our bathroom tap to run hot (just warm) even though the shower right beside was excellent and piping hot. The light in our bathroom that surrounded the mirror flickered and eventually died which made using that mirror difficult as the other light in the bathroom wasn't sufficient. We also noticed that the noise insulation between adjoining rooms wasn't excellent and this was definitely due to the locked door that connects the rooms (common in many hotels). We had a couple next door and the gentleman had a cold, we could hear every sniffle and nose-blow and if i spoke their language, i would likely have got to know them even better and importantly, i don't believe they were being unreasonably loud in any way. Perhaps not all rooms are like this. Lastly, although there are windows you can open, they don't open to the outside air, just to a cavity between the insulation and external windows of the building which you cannot open. Our room got quite stuffy during the night and with no fresh air source or fan (or AC) to move air around it got a bit uncomfortable. Even a small table fan would help keep things a bit fresher. Overall, for the price we paid and the location, it was a good experience.
