Friendly staff, convenient for west end. Only problem was the room was stiflingly hot. The AC was broken and the coolers didnt really help.

Excellent location. Despite its proximity to Covent Garden, it was a very comfortable and quiet hotel. Staff were wonderful. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

Excellent location but felt grubby

Excellent location but hotel feels grubby with stained carpets and chipped woodwork. Steep staircases so my bag was taken to room which was nice. However it all looks old and in desperate need of an update. Air conditioning wasn’t working (the tech came to the room while I was there and said he’d have to come back to fix it) and there was also a stand alone A/C machine in the room that just blew out warm air. Had to open window to the street to get some cooler air. The noise from both the outside and inside (door banging) meant I didn’t sleep much both nights. A shame as location so good.

Comfortable, clean stay in a fantastic location.

We had a great stay; our room was more spacious than you can often expect in London. The windows opened, it was so quiet, the room was comfortable and the bathroom was well appointed and clean. Check in and out was seamless and quick. Id recommend for a stay in such a central location.

small pricey room in good location

Good location but small noisy room. Air conditioning was efficient but noisy with a high noise that woke me up at 4am. noise from street as well. I was glad I brought earplugs.

Poor maintenance

In high temperatures in the summer air conditioning in a large city is a must! It was installed but broken, we had an air cooler which was useless. We attended the Royal opera house, it was hard to get ready in such extreme heat!

Very polite and helpful staff. Single room on the third floor was clean and in good condition. Stairs were a bit worn and quite steep but they do say there is no lift. Location was brilliant Excellent value for money
