"WICHTIG: Das Hotel Buffalo Bill's Resort und Casino IST GESCHLOSSEN!
Wir fuhren direkt zum Hotel und dort fanden wir einen typischen 'Lost Places' vor. Alles zu, versperrt keine Menschen und keine Autos ... wie bei Walking Dead ;) Unsere Zimmer hatten wir im Mai 2025 gebucht und bestätigt bekommen. Nun fanden wir einen kleinen Hinweis auf das nahegelegene Hotel Primm Valley und konnten letztlich mit unserer Buchung dort einchecken. Also gilt die Bewertung auch letztlich dem Primm Valley.
Nach unseren ersten Schreck fanden wir dann aber das "Lost Places" Narrativ doch irgendwie ganz interessant. Leider wird auch das Primm Valley nicht mehr lange betrieben werden, die oberen Etagen sind nicht mehr in Benutzung, dort waren baufällige Hotelverkleidungen von Aussen gut sichtbar und insgesamt kaum eine handvoll Gäste. Dennoch waren die Mitarbeiter sehr bemüht, uns einen anständige Aufenthalt (nur eine Nacht) in einem einst sehr prunkvollem Hotel zu ermöglichen. Wir haben sogar ein preiswertes und gutes Steak und Fish & Chips im Restaurant bekommen. In der Umgebung ebenfalls alles mehr oder weniger geisterhaft, ein verlassenes Outletcenter (natürlich geschlossen) und dann wie beschrieben der Blick auf das komplett verlassene Buffalo Bill's mit seiner Achterbahn-Silhouette und ehemaligen gigantischen Werbetafeln.
Es kann einem schon wehmütig werden, wenn man an die einstigen Tage voller Pracht und Leben denkt, die dort wohl mal angesagt waren. Es hat eben alles seine Zeit."
