The pictures here don’t do this place Justice. Such a fun little oasis with enough tropical landscaping to make it feel and look a bit like the jungle cruise at Disneyland. Really enjoyed the grounds, and the wonderful pool and hot tub. Had a very spacious and comfortable Junior suite watching the navy ships go by from our balcony. Service at check in was our only interaction with the staff and it was wonderful service. Appreciated being able to check in several hours early. We will come back.

The hotel and staff were amazing. Room was clean and up keep was good. Rooms and sliding door showing age. But I would recommend to friends to stay and i would definitely return. Again, San Diego is city that having a car is highly suggested.

Beautiful views, peaceful environment, and the room was spotless. It was right across from the Downtown San Diego skyline, and it was a waterfront view as well. I highly recommend for all travelers, and not to mention, the hotel itself has a lot of amenities, including drink vouchers for Expedia members, access to the hotel's restaurant, bar, pools, and washer/dryer if needed.

The location is top notch but the “basic, basic room” as our checkin receptionist called it has a lot to be desired. Dated and need of cleaning and repair. Dark mold around tub. Dusty. The front desk staff doesn’t appear to enjoy their work and acts as if guests are a bother.
