Handy for the train station, handy for trams

Pros: Simple, clean; spacious room (but no actual daily cleaning or bed-making); relaxed atmosphere in main social/eating area.
Cons: Garden area a bit shabby.
Location: Swimming in the Rhine in the summer - that's all I was there for.
Pleasant all round. Excellent room for resting and sleeping - but requiring shift into YMCA social area (I was in Stay@SBB) for work, planning and coffee etc. Nice little garden, though the little low tables should be wiped clean every few hours instead of never; not keen on unemptied ashtrays, either. Wonderful to have free coffee on tap. Easy atmosphere, everyone doing their own thing, though watch out for certain groups who might colonise the kitchen - should be more rules there. Great location for the train station, which itself has some good shopping facilities - late-hours CoOp not least of all - and therefore trams that go to most city spots. Good value. Free travel pass - for my three days - much appreciated.

Très bonne expérience, prix un peu élevé pour le confort de la chambre. Le lit n’est pas très confortable.

Teuer aber gut

Gut aufgehoben. Frühstück gut assortiert, leider kein Wasser im Angebot. Wir wurden in einer anderes Hotel umgebucht. Bessere Kategorie zum ohne Aufpreis (Hotel Victoria). die

Einfach aber topp

Pros: Preis/Leistungsverhältnis und zentrale Lage.
Cons: Wüsste nicht was....
Location: Ganz in der Nähe des Hauptbahnhofs (SBB). Mit dem gratis ÖV-Ticket ist praktisch alles was Basel eben so bietet, innert kurzer Zeit erreichbar.
Icg suchte eine Unterkunft in Basel wegen eines frühen Fluges am anderen Morgen. Stay@Basel ist ideal gelegen, 5 Minuten zu Fuss vom Bahnhof SBB Südausgang entfernt und trotzdem ruhig. Die Zimmer sind sauber, modern, mit Lavabo. Je 2 Damen- und 2 Herren-WC auf der Etage (für 6 Zimmer) sowie eine Dusche. Alles sauber und modern. Preis/Leistungsverhältnis Tipptopp. Reception 24 Stunden Bedienung, da mit dem YMCA-Hotel kombiniert und von ihnen verwaltet Leckeres Frühstück erhältlich, zu korrektem Preis. Gratis 3-Tageticket auf Basels öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln.
