Alice in Wonderland theme is fun. I enjoyed the front desk/bar playlist. Staff were helpful, if sometimes hard to find. Would go back, except they ask you to pre-check in online via some random website. Hotel info should make clear that that is not a requirement.

Wonderful experience at the Mad Hatter. Fun theme for a hotel and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. Somewhat quirky and light hearted. The room was a decent size and clean. It had everything we needed as if we were home. We will most definitely return.

We loved staying at the mad hatter hotel, the staff is friendly. The breakfast is amazing and it is great to have a pub in the same property. I would definitely recommend this hote and would love to stay here again.

Great place to stay and explore Southwark.

Stayed here for a 2 night midweek break with a friend. First of all I just want to say how friendly and helpful all the staff were. The man who checked us in was incredibly helpful and gave us some great suggestions of things to do and see. The room was spacious / twin beds which were comfortable and it has been ages since I stayed in a hotel that provided biscuits with the tea and coffee. It may not seem much but it is a lovely touch! We didn’t partake in the pub / restaurant downstairs as we were out and about but it looked great and had a selection of board games. I live in Kent so on my next stay with my husband we will definitely pop in for a drink. The breakfast was good - I had the eggs Benedict and the eggs were cooked perfectly for me. My only criticism is that the English muffin it was served on hadn’t been toasted. My friend had the smashed avocado on toast with poached egg. She can’t eat runny yolks and although she asked for it to be well done it was still a bit runny. She ate around it and enjoyed what she had. I will definitely stay here again. The location is perfect for exploring Southwark and the hotel is a real gem. Thank you for a lovely stay!
