The room was older, but clean. It was very close to the LB Convention Center, which made it very convenient. Friendly staff, quiet, and overall a great place to stay.

Dirty and unsafe

parking is down a dirty alley behind an apartment building that had homeless people and a drug deal going on. Room has a portable air conditioner, dirt and dust on walls , carpet in hall is dirty , no closet or hangers in room for my clothes .Area is not safe to walk around past dark to get food .one window opened to a weird chamber with bars on the area .

The room is small, not much space to walk or put open luggages. Bath is even smaller, bathroom sink counter is also small. The shower curtain is a bit short for the shower stall, so when showering, water got everywhere. Recommend to install a longer shower curtain. The bed is comfortable. One night stay is works.

Two days before my check in date Oct 12th I got a message and an email stating that my stay/room was not confirmed because the card they tried to charge was declined. I then paid for my two night stay and I got a message on the night before check in saying my reservation was confirmed. I ran the card again because my card worked for other purchases. Then an email and message came an hour later the day of my reservation saying again my reservation was NOT confirmed because the card did not work. So I booked another hotel with the same card that apparently didn’t work for this reservation and since it was the day of and the Hotel Royal and hotels.com were notified that I cancelled my reservation because I had to book another one since my card wouldn’t work for them even though the card was fine. Then I was charged without my knowledge on Oct. 15th for a two night stay that was supposed to be Oct. 14th-16th. It was an illegal charge and why would they charge me for a reservation on the day after I was supposed to check in? Doesn’t make any sense son unless hotels.com reimburses me for the whole two Night stay I will take civil action for the credit card fraud I was a victim of. Patrick M. Bastian

Parking in back of building was human feces and trash everywhere, also smells bad with a lot of flys .across the street i can hear 2 homeless people arguing. The room was clean but small and dated. I'm glad there was a small refrigerator/ microwave and coffee maker

Room was great for the price for sure. Bed is super comfy. If your a light sleeper there seems to be road noise and people noise till around 1 then it seems to quiet down. Room never fully gets dark because of the street lights. Shower and in room coffee (Starbucks pods) is great! Staff is Very friendly and very readily to help or give directions etc Go to ordinaire tavern. Get the beef dip you won’t regret it! Definitely would stay here again! Also free bikes to use during stay. Thanks again

Easy check in .. my room was in an annex next door… great stay .. only issue is as a boutique hotel no elevator/lift… trying to lug 3 pieces of luggage up and down the stairs was a headache.. also no breakfast places nearby that open before 8am…

Staff is great room is comfortable but loud on a main street which we knew about ahead of time. Only thing was the hair in the drain of the shower was not cleaned out properly. Great restaurants were recommended and within walking distance. Overall great place.
