The perfect place to stay in Lugano!

My family stayed in this fantastic VRBO rental in Lugano and found it to meet our needs in every way. It was centrally located, had off street parking and Gaia made sure that our stay was absolutely perfect. I highly recommend this place for those traveling with their family (we had a 4 year old in tow). We will surely be back when we return to Lugano!

Spacious with a wonderful view

The unit has a fantastic outdoor terrace and a wall full of windows to fully enjoy the breathtaking views. The location is great as it is within walking distance to shops, grocery stores, bars and restaurants. The apartment is very well appointed and had all the necessary amenities. Beds are very comfortable, showers have excellent water pressure and the garage, which is included, is truly wonderful to have. The apartment is surprisingly spacious both in the size of bedrooms and common areas. We highly recommend this unit and look forward to returning!

Very specious and great location and view apt

The apt is very specious and well appointed with great view, and it is about 10 minutes walk from the center. We didn't give it five stars due to lack of attention to details and items that didn't work when we check in. The Wi-Fi didn't work and it took two days to get it working, and to Gaia's credit she tried to be as responsive as possible. Few of the lights were burned and one of the showers didn't drain at all and the hand shower was broken. BTW, we didn't ask for this to be repaired when we were there, so no comments about how long it took to fix it, if it was done. In spite of the these items, we greatly enjoyed our stay and will recommend it.

Excellent location but the apartment needs some attention

It was a perfect location for 3 couples to explore Lugano. It is walking distance to the CityCentre and the lake. I had read some reviews that stated there were a few items that needed attention (these were over a year ago) Surprisingly, some of those same items had not been fixed. One of the showers doesn't drain properly and you are forced to have a very quick rinse before the water begins to seep all over the floor. The dryer door didn't close properly and therefore we were left with a bunch of wet clothes to pack back into our suitcases. There were quite a few burnt out light bulbs/ missing light bulbs and we still couldn't find the switch for the outside patio light. There was no hand soap and no dish soap for washing dishes. I contacted to owners a few times; and although they replied, their response time was a bit slow (there was actually never a response from one of the numbers provided) and by the time they could come and fix the items, we were leaving. Hopefully these will be taken care of for the next visitors.

Ok but....

The pluses for this apartment is the view, the beds, air conditioning and the garage. The property has a great view but is not lakeside so a bit misleading. I always read reviews before booking, and had noticed comments about lightbulbs, shower, etc. As these comments were made as far back as 2 years ago and the management always responded with promises to fix the issues, I decided to go ahead. I am sorry to say that the issues still remain. The biggest problem was the shower in the smaller bathroom. The drain needs attention as water overflows the shower area and goes everywhere. The shower itself is overdue for a deep cleaning. Soap scum has built up around the edges of the shower floor and on the tile walls. It is slimy, brown and disgusting. The hand held shower is STILL broken and you get a good drenching when turning the shower on. The washer and dryer have seen better days. The units are old and dirty, The heating element on the dryer is not functioning, so the clothing never gets dry. Do not take any food outside on the patio. We were dodging wasps and had to run back inside with the food, The furnishings are old and tired. One of the highchairs was broken. Someone had tried to fix it with tape but it was not holding. Watch the floors, they are very slippery if wearing socks or your feet are wet from a shower. While having the garage was a bonus, we found that our rental car was a little too large. The door would not close without hitting the car so we had to leave it open. While this property has potential, it is clear that the management needs to attend to these small but annoying issues, They need to send a clear check in instructions prior to guests arriving, provide instructions on how to use appliances, operate manual shades, etc. Finally change the address listing to 5A rather than 5 to limit confusion. The list goes on. At this time I cannot recommend this apartment. It is not a good value for the money.

Practical and spacious apartment, close to the centre

We were 6 persons, 3 adults, 3 children. Car could be parked in the garage. Apartment was spacious and the beds comfortable. The city center is within walking distance, if you don't mind walking uphill on the way back. Communication with the owners was very good, quick responses and very friendly. Good and quick reaction to the few issues which we found in the apartment.

Perfekte Wohnung in Lugano an bester Lage

Wir verbrachten ein verlƤngertes Wochenende mit unseren 3 erwachsenen Kindern in dieser sehr gerƤumigen Wohnung. Alles ist wirklich grosszĆ¼gig: Der Living-room, die Terrasse, die Anzahl Badezimmer und Schlafzimmer, so dass man wirklich genĆ¼gend Raum hat. Sehr wertvoll ist der schƶne Balkon, zum FrĆ¼hstĆ¼cken im Freien, zum Lesen, zum Entspannen...Attraktiv ist im Sommer natĆ¼rlich der Besuch des Lido di Lugano, und auch das Lido von Bissone ist nicht weit. Die auszgezeichneten Restaurants von Lugano haben unserem Aufenthalt das i-PĆ¼nktchen aufgesetzt. Ich kann diese Wohnung wƤrmstens weiterempfehlen.

Nice

We had a lovely stay at this property. The view was amazing to wake up to every morning and the city lights were very pretty at night. It is a comfortable spacious apartment with the basic amenities and the kitchen was nicely equipped. Gaia was quick to respond to any questions. Location was awesome as well. Just a short walk to the bus/train as well as town and the lake. I would recommend this apartment if you are looking for a nice stay in Lugano.

Iā€™ll start by saying that the host was great. His communication skills were excellent and was always quick to reply to my concerns. The location of the apartment was good, being only a few minutes walk from the train station and many restaurants. The view from the apartment is exceptional. The bedrooms were generous in size. Our only complaints were about the cleanliness of the bathrooms and that a few items were broken (i.e. handheld shower hand, glogged showers, etc). After speaking with the owner, he apologized profusely so Iā€™m 100% sure that everything will be taken care of for the next guests. Iā€™d definitely rent again from this owner in the future. Fantastic view over lake from living room and balcony. Flat was sparkling clean and ready with full equipments for our 2 nights stay. Location is quite in residential area near city center. There is covered parking and if you have 2 cars, you may park on street pay parking. Communication before and after check in was very smooth. We been 6 people that comfortably stayed in 3 bedrooms. I will visit again when I come to Lugano!

Perfect in everyway

Great location for walking or taking the funicular into Lugano. Everything you need (grocery store, cafe, train station) is right nearby. The apartment has a beautiful view of the lake and the town. Very quiet, clean and well decorated. Air Conditioning in every room kept it cool despite the hot weather we encountered in August. The garage is right under the apartment, has room for one car and has a locked door. While staying at the apartment we did driving day trips to Milan, Como, Menaggio, Bellagio and Lucerne--all easy to get to. We also walked to Gandria alone a beautiful path and took the boat from Gandria back to Lugano. I would recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Lugano or the surrounding area. Looking forward to staying there again in the future.

Stunning apartment

The apartment was gorgeous & well appointed and it made for a wonderful stay. It was exactly as pictured - large, bright, airy, with modern furniture & beautiful decorations, and an amazing view over Lugano. It had all amenities needed, and Gaia was quick to respond to any questions we had. We had a rental car, so the private garage was also very convenient. Thanks for having us, Gaia!

From the view of the city to the quality of the apartment, you canā€™t go wrong with this place if you are looking to visit lugano, Ticino or even Lake Como. Highly recommend it

Beyond expectations

This home and our hosts went beyond our best expectations. We loved the home and everything we needed was easily available,the Wi-FI and AC worked great. The location was perfect and the neighbors and the hosts were delightful. We highly recommend it and we will be back as soon as we can! Thank you so much!

Great apartment with a great view !

Gaia&Pietro are the perfect hosts!Unfortunately we couldnā€™t meet each other but they always replied very quickly to my messages. The apartment is just the same as on the pictures!Quiet spacious and so charming !Our family would love to stay again there next time !
