Summary: HVAC/ventilation 1 star, the room and some staff interactions ~3 star. Restaurant/bar staff, the outdoor areas, and the Nile-side location 5 stars. HVAC / Air Quality – 1 Star: Our non‑smoking room was genuinely non‑smoking, but in the evenings smoke from other guests—either outside or in their rooms—came through the HVAC system. We didn’t experience this at the first Hilton we stayed in (a newer building), so I believe this can be managed better. Travelers with sensitivities or health concerns may want to consider a newer property. I have autoimmune issues, so the lack of clean air in the evenings was especially difficult. Room & Some Staff – 3 Stars: The room was outdated and not as clean as expected for the price. The essentials were clean, but overall maintenance and cleanliness fell short (see photos). A few staff members also felt either annoyed with us or overly pushy with “help” that seemed aimed at gratuities. We’re generous tippers, but being pressured for things we didn’t want or need was exhausting, especially after encountering this dynamic throughout the country. Pool, Restaurant Service & Location – 5+ Stars: The pool area, restaurant staff, and the hotel’s location on the Nile were outstanding. These amenities truly shine and are the reason we would still recommend this hotel despite the room issues and a few frustrating interactions.

Room was good with a large terrace outside. Hotel is very nice and has 3 lovely restaurants. Breakfast is extremely good with many options both hot and cold. Reception staff are helpful with taxi pricing and ordering taxis. This is our 2nd stay here and both times have been wonderful - right on the banks of the Nile.

From the moment I arrived until the moment I departed, the service at this hotel was consistently excellent — and that is entirely thanks to the people who work here. The front desk team was welcoming, professional, and genuinely helpful. Every interaction was handled with efficiency, warmth, and a smile. Housekeeping kept everything spotless and well cared for, always respectful and attentive to detail. The restaurant and bar staff deserve special praise — servers, cooks, and bartenders alike. Meals were well prepared, service was smooth and friendly, and the atmosphere was relaxed yet professional. It’s clear the kitchen and service teams work in sync and take pride in what they do. The doormen and concierge were outstanding — courteous, attentive, and proactive. Whether it was directions, transportation, recommendations, or simply a friendly greeting, they made every day easier and more enjoyable. Finally, credit to management for setting the tone. It’s obvious that this hotel is well run, that staff are supported, and that service culture matters here. Everyone I encountered — and many behind the scenes I never saw — contributed to an experience that felt seamless, thoughtful, and genuinely welcoming. Travel is often about places, but great trips are made by people. This team gets it right. We arrived over Thanksgiving to find out a wedding was taking place and would be closing the pool area for the entirety of our stay. The wedding set up and actually party was so incredibly loud that we had to change rooms at 8pm at night. The staff was not very helpful and did not want to compensate us for the change of a premium room to basic. Very disappointed.

This was by far the best hotel I have ever stayed at in any country! They were friendly, went above and beyond. Checked in on you frequently and wanted to ensure they provided the best experience! Excellent escape from the heat and ‘chaos’ of Luxor. Staff fantastic, rooms v comfortable and clean. Pool area v nice and food options good. Amazing views of the Nile and Nile sunsets.
