Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, room comfort
Room was very small but clean. Walking distance to restaurants and shopping.
I inquired about availability of ground floor room since I need to lug my luggage containing food to my room. The staff gave me a courtesy upgrade so I got a ground floor room with a microwave. Took a walk to the Mammoth Welcome Center. Nice footpath.
I liked everything except there is no fridge in a room as we traveld and other 6 hotels heve them

Disliked: Amenities
It was a basic room but it did not have common amenities such as a coffee maker, microwave, refrigerator or kleenex. However, all I needed was a place to sleep before going on a backpacking trip the next morning so it served its purpose. There is a shopping center across the street with good food options.
Shower curtain had a hole in it that was repaired with what looked like blue painters tape. Door looked like it had been kicked in at one time. Air conditioner so noisy. Construction workers that were staying there hanging out right outside the rooms (next to others rooms). Check in staff were very nice.
This is a typical economy motel experience. Decent bed. Clean bathroom. No amenities. Outside of building shows decay and wear and tear. It fit the bill for my quick overnight and economical stay.
Great staff at the Motel 6. Friendly, attentive and informative. Property is a bit antiquated. But, i wasn't visiting for the hotel experience. Very convenient to Mono Lake and Yosemite East entrance.

Mammoth Lakes is awesome. This Motel 6 is luckily right in the middle of it. The only problems I encountered were:
1. smokers hanging out and smoking in their doorways and around the building. The rule says they are supposed to smoke 20 ft away from the building… they definitely didn’t follow that rule, nor was it being enforced when I was here.
2. Creaky ceiling / cheaply built old building well means you will hear every little footstep from the second floor on the first floor rooms very loudly.
Other than those things, quite a nice Motel 6 here!
