This is a great, no-frills hotel. I stayed here for the Berlin marathon and it fit the bill perfectly. For the price, you can’t beat this. If you’re looking for a hotel with full amenities, this isn’t it, but it’s a great simple clean place to stay with friendly staff who were very helpful. Highly recommend!

The room was nice and clean. Didn't have hand soap for two days and the toilet seems a bit old. Housekeeping could have anticipated when I'd leave the room instead of knocking on the door every five minutes.

bad performance/price ratio

definitely more a youth hostel than a hotel. Long time no refurnishment. Mould in the bathroom. Very loud due to thin wooden floorings, thin doors and windows. Remarkably, they sell earplgs in the lobby like they once used to sell chewing gum. No friendly greetings when arriving at the place (partly customary to Berlin population, but sorry, in a hotel?) Better get used to take the bed sheets off yourself... you are forced to do that here. All together - never again.
