Our room was very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and there was a nice selection. Hotel is located just a couple minutes walk from the train that takes you into Lucerne, and there's no charge. We had a great experience and would recommend this hotel.

Lovely and helpful girl to check us in and friendly kitchen manger bringing out trays of fresh bread and pastries with a smile. Train station minutes from hotel and minutes by train to downtown. Avoid our costly mistake of jumping in a taxi upon arrival!

The location is close to bus stop and local train station, but it is far from downtown and major attractions. We have visited many cities in Switzerland, holiday inn is the only one to check travelers passports. Lucerne city gives tourists free pass for public transportations. It would be nice if holiday inn could have sent emails or texts informing its guests so that they did not have to buy the tickets to the hotel.

The hotel was clean and modern. The staff was friendly and professional. It is a 2 minute walk to the train station. The hotel gives you a discount train pass for the whole area, good for trains and buses. The pass also gives you a 10% discount for Mount Pilatus train ride. Morning breakfasts are included. It is a great place to stay.

During our recent Europe Trip we stayed here for 6 nights and had a wonderful experience. Check-in & Staff: Smooth check-in process, very welcoming and cordial front desk team. They listened carefully to our requests and fulfilled them right away. Location: The main USP of this hotel is its location. This hotel is just 3-mins of walk from the nearest train station (Kriens Mattenhof) which is the 2nd stop from the Luzern main train station. Surrounded by multiple fast-food restaurants (McDonalds, Subway), with Migros (Swiss Grocery Chain) right across the street. The area felt very safe. Breakfast: Breakfast was a highlight every morning, with a wide variety of items to choose from. Options included bread, butter & jams, cereals, croissants, green salads, fruit cocktail, assorted meats (turkey, pepperoni, pork sausage), scrambled & boiled eggs, coffee, milk, different juices, whole fruits, yogurt, pancake, and oats. Something for everyone! Room & Cleanliness: Spacious, modern, and very clean rooms. The entire hotel feels new and well-maintained. The hotel allowed our luggages in the storage on the check-out day which made our travel very convenient, and we didn't have to pay the locker charges in the station. Overall Experience: Great stay, perfect mix of convenience, comfort, and hospitality. Highly recommended—definitely a 10/10 stay!

The ok side: Good location near train, the staff in the breakfast (2 amazing waitresses), clean, close parking, breakfast was good and complimentary The NOT ok: The front desk were not nice at all, they give you the feeling that they do not like to serve you or answer your questions. The air condition is not good, when I called the front desk said that it is what it is and if I want to get a fan I should come over and take it. Bottom line, we won’t come again although I have it average

Although property updated and nearly new, you either took train (free pass from hotel) into old city center or drove yourself. Parking is extra and a bit steep at 25 chf per night. Easy on and off major hwy.
