Our room was downstairs and the view from the window was a 5x5 space containing a large ventilation pipe and an open door into a dark room. Im guessing it is a mechanical room of some sort, but being right outside our window it was a bit concerning and we hoped no one would break in. Needless to say, our room had a horrible view so curtains stayed closed. Room was quite small but both twin beds were very comfortable and the shower had awesome water pressure. Breakfast was typical with cereal, fruit, a few types of eggs and sausage rolls.It was very well cared for, always making sure to have enough on hand or cleanup spills. Staff was amazing, super helpful and lots of ideas for things to do and see or places to eat.

Pleasant hotel for the price. The staff always seem very friendly and the rooms are okay. I love the position of this hotel as it’s very close to Victoria train station.

BW Buckingham Palace

Two night stay with family. Rooms were clean and recently refurbished. We were across the road from main building. Lift to our floor (2nd), air-conditioning was good.All sockets had a USB A and C outlet. Shower and bathroom again clean and modern. Very close to Victoria Railway station (and underground) and the coach station, but not unduly affected by the traffic or trains. We could occasionally hear the.trains but not bothering us. Road traffic was not a problem either. Even with the window open, there was little ambient noise. Less than 20 minutes walk to Buckingham Palace. Breakfast was limited but totally adequate. Cereal, croissants, muffins, yoghurt, fruit juice, tea and coffee, toast plus a limited hot / cooked section. Service was excellent, the staff seemed happy to help at all times. The only negatives were the condition of the bedroom carpets and the size of the room and bathroom.

The property was ok. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was ok and it had a good options. The room was small and you do have to go up steps to get to most units. So if you have multiple pieces or big heavy pieces this place will pose a challenge. Location was convenient as it was close to Victoria station( 5 min walk). Overall is was ok. It depends on what you like.

Very friendly staff, nice location, during weekend free Parking on the street outside. Room not big but it’s London. It’s next to the trains, great for convenience but if you want complete quietness not best choice. Would gladly visit again!

Cozy hotel near Victoria Station

This hotel met our needs very well. It is close to Victoria Station, which made it convenient to the Underground, and thus all of London. The room was cozy (small-ish), but we were expecting that, and it was suitable for our needs - somewhere safe, clean, and affordable. The hotel staff were all friendly, pleasant, and helpful. We would stay here again.

Our stay at the Best Western Buckingham Palace Rd had both positives and negatives. The location is excellent—close to Victoria Station, with easy access to London’s main sights and transport links. The staff were friendly and helpful during check-in and throughout our stay. However, our room was at basement level, which was a major downside. It was dark, and the constant noise from coaches at Victoria Coach Station kept us awake all night. The windows couldn’t be fully opened due to external noise, and the air conditioning was ineffective, making the room uncomfortably hot. We also struggled with the amenities—despite requesting an iron, three were provided, none of which worked. The hotel is somewhat outdated, with worn decor and limited soundproofing, which added to the discomfort. Breakfast was basic but adequate, though seating was limited during busy times. Overall, for the price paid, the location is ideal, but the noise issues and outdated facilities mean there are better options in London if comfort and peace are priorities. If you choose to stay here, request a higher floor and bring earplugs. It’s a convenient base, but not the most restful or modern hotel in central London. Would you like it even shorter or tailored differently?

Great little hotel. Very clean and staff are exceptional. The only downside would be that it is so close to the train tracks that they can be bothersome when trying to sleep. Bring some earplugs you are fine but knowing about the trains and a little pre-planning for noise would make this place a 5 star review.
