Overall a lovely stay

I recently stayed at the Hilton Kings Cross Hotel and wanted to share my mixed experience as a wheelchair user. Firstly, I must commend the wetroom; it was fantastic and designed with accessibility in mind. Having such a spacious and user-friendly shower area made my stay much more comfortable. However, I did encounter a couple of issues that affected my overall experience. One significant drawback was the dim lighting in the wet room. While I appreciate a calm atmosphere, it was challenging to see clearly, especially when using the amenities. Good lighting is crucial for safety and ease of use in such spaces, so this was a bit disappointing. Additionally, I had trouble controlling the air conditioning in my room effectively. The temperature wasn't what I hoped for, and adjusting it was not as straightforward as it should have been. It would have been nice to have a more user-friendly way to manage the room temperature, particularly for someone with specific needs. Overall, while I appreciated the accessibility features, improvements in lighting and air conditioning control would enhance the experience for guests like me. I hope the hotel takes this feedback on board for future stays.

I’m not a fan of leaving negative reviews but heads up if you are staying here. This place was rated 4 stars and that’s way too much for it. Overall hotel and room need some good carpet cleaning. The elevator is extremely slow and you need to wait a while for it to come down from the 4th floor. I booked two nights. My nightmare started the first day, when I got to the room and it felt cold I tried to adjust the thermostat on the wall, after waiting a while i called from desk, they said they will turn it ON ( never had a hotel with thermostat that was regulated from reception before!!! ) I adjusted heat to its highest that was 30 C it ran for 20 min then stopped, then thermostat reset itself to 20C. I did again set it back to the temperature I wanted. Same thing after 20 min it reset back to 20 C. I called front desk they said that’s how it works!!!!!!!! Am I supposed to stay by the thermostat to keep changing the settings??? How am i supposed to sleep then ? So my first night I would get up every 2 hrs to try to get some heat… they gave a second blanket as I complained but said it’s the way they are. Next day after I come back I ask again about possibly doing something about it. Different clerk said she will run it for me all night at 30 C. When I got back the thermostat was on auto showing 30 C. That worked for half of the night. I had to call again and go down and demand because most of the staff was unaware or unwilling how to get it working again. Avoid it!

First time I’ve stayed at the double tree and it didn’t disappoint. Staff were very friendly and everything was clean as you would like it. I appreciated that shampoo and conditioner were provided in the bathroom as it saved me having to take mine. I did get a little cold in the room in the night, but I do get cold easily. I was the day’s diamond guest which meant I was granted access to the vip areas and given a free breakfast. Which was all really lovely and very unexpected. The breakfast was buffet style and I liked this as I don’t eat a lot but like variety. The cookie on checkin was again unexpected but a nice touch. Despite the hotel being on the main road I didn’t hear any traffic. If I was nitpicking I would say checkin/checkout could have been a little quicker but perhaps I just arrived at the wrong time. Queues didn’t seem too long but seemed to take a long time to get through everyone despite having multiple staff members checking guests in/out. All in all though I was really happy with my stay would recommend the hotel to others. I definitely would stay there again if I needed to be in that area.

It is not often I give a hotel 10/10 but this hotel deserves it. I was a solo traveller for an interview. I was made to feel very welcome on arrival and the welcome cookie was much needed after a long journey. The receptionist was very welcoming and polite, the reception area was calming and and relaxing I felt chilled the minute I walked in. My room was a recently refurbished one. It was spotlessly clean, very comfortable and spacious. I needed to be relaxed and get a good nights sleep and I certainly did. Breakfast was relaxing with lots of choice to set me up for the day. It was an excellent 1 night stay and I got the job :-)

This is the worst hotel I have ever stay in. Not functioning elevator, the hotel needs renovation. In one week, the key to enter this hotel didn’t work at least 10 times.The TV channels are very limited. Rating this hotel in as 1 star is being extremely generous

We had recently stayed at DoubleTree by Hilton London Angel Kings Cross and overall had a positive experience. While the cleanliness was average and could be improved in some areas, the staff were outstanding, very friendly, attentive, and helpful throughout my stay. The property itself was in good condition with all the essentials for a comfortable visit. The highlight for me was the location. It was near the downtown area of London, with walking access to London Bridge and the surrounding neighborhoods.

Lovely hotel

The staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfast choice was brilliant and tasty and lots to choose from . The beds were so comfy. Everything was great until time to leave. We started to strip the beds to save the chamber maid but only took 1 pillow case off and discovered a blood stain on the pillow . That was the only downfall. The receptionist assured us it would be dealt with. We visited London to see a west end show for my 60th birthday. I did enjoy my stay.

I loved the room it was so nice and clean. I'm happy they gave a delicious cheesecake the day before my son's 9th birthday. I also loved the restaurant. The bed was so comfy. Reception staff lovely.
