Great location, friendly staff, comfortable bed. My bedroom was small and poorly lit. The light over the dressing table/desk flickered on and off and was impossible to use. The bath/shower was very poorly designed. The rain shower head was too close to the narrow end of the bath - which was so narrow that I had to stand with one foot behind the other to get under the shower. The bath was slippery and the grab handle was definitely needed. The carpet and curtains seemed grubby. The safe was on the floor of the clothes closet and required you to get on your hands and knees, or even lying down, to get at it to set the pass code. All in all, not a great experience.

Lovely property, great location, clean, staff very helpful. The only reason I didn’t rate it a 5 is because the breakfast is exactly the same every day. Gets really boring. Would be nice if you alternated a few items on the menu just to give some variety.

The bed was comfortable if a little on the small side, but that was built in the price. If you call yourself a green hotel having a large overhead shower is surely a very heavy use of water. Also pumping out air conditioning when windows could be opened is also very bad for the environment!! But it seemed to be impossible to open the windows!!

The hotel had random loud noises throughout the mornings. The windows did not open even for some slight fresh air, which is needed when the property is so old. They could use a remodeling. It’s very unsafe, my elderly family member trip down the stairs cause the floor boards where uneven. Very upset with the actual hotel. But the service was great and the location was great. The hotel definitely needs repairs as it smells, and is completely outdated.

A very nice hotel - clean, classic, quiet. The issue we had was that the air conditioner was running but there didn’t seem to be any airflow from it. The room, on the fifth floor, was hot and stuffy. We asked to have the AC looked at after the first night and they sent a maintenance guy up. He checked the discharge temperature with his infrared pyrometer and announced it was at the right temperature and the unit was working fine. He sent a desktop fan up for us. We opened the window - it was limited to about four inches - but since the window overlooked what seemed to be an air shaft, there wasn’t any air movement. We had six uncomfortable nights there - not unbearable but not pleasant. There was no follow-up from the staff and, when asked at checkout how our stay had been, I replied it was unsatisfactory due to the AC and they said they were sorry. If I could offer the hotel a suggestion it would be to get their staff more involved. The staff seemed disinterested in the guests. Had anyone asked the second morning we were there as a follow-up, I would have said the AC issue was unresolved and I would have hoped for an offer to move to a different room. Failing that, I would have hoped they would have went someone back to check the unit for air flow or to see why the room was so stuffy. I liked the hotel but the indifferent staff and our experience with the room will have us looking for different accommodations on our next visit. Too bad.

Unbelievable stay. No bad things to say! Great service and the perfect location between the airport and central London. Great for tourists and is right across the Gloucester road tube station. It’s also located in a lovely area within Kensington. 10/10.

The hotel is well placed for ease of getting everywhere. We found the "lounge" area very restricting and not particularly comfortable . The thing which really was unacceptable was being told on the second morning that we had to vacate the "lounge" area as it was always closed between 10.30am and about 11.30am for cleaning!! The cleaning person was quite abrupt and told the 7 of us that we could go and sit in the foyer area!! There is just not enough comfortable, relaxing seating for a stay at the Bailey's. I also found the airconditioning unit in the bedroom to be incredibly noisy.

When we go to London we always stay at The Bailey's and they have never disappointed us. Such a great location. Staff is very attentive, and rooms are always clean. In the classic double room, the bathroom's are a little small.
