Had an excellent stay at this hotel. The restaurant was very good. All staff was very nice. My room was clean and I loved the surf vibe. I was on the side next to the road and the windows kept it very quiet. The location is literally right next to the pier and ocean. Awesome place. Bonus points for carry high quality spring water and Poppi soda!

The location is great as we really didn’t need to drive anywhere that we planned to do such as the restaurants, pier and its activities, and the beach. We stayed 2 nights and we loved it. I do advise to call directly to make sure you get any specific rooms as I requested mine to be connected bc we had kids a month in advanced on the request portion of the booking online and when we got there they set us in 2 different rooms that were not together at all. That was frustrating then we had to make sure to be there in the morning to move all our stuff the next day just for one night.

Perfect place to stay for a short break. Within walking distance of the pier, the beach, shopping, bars and restaurants. The staff was very friendly and helpful as well. We will definitely stay there again and highly recommend it.

It's a great hotel at a great location. I have stayed a number of times and each time something happened - people fighting outside the hotel, a woman screaming and last time a man got arrested right outside the restaurant.

Great stay at the Pierside

Lovely stay at the Pierside. We were only there for two nights but I would highly recommend it. Very comfortable bed and very quiet at night. There was a fridge in the room which is always a plus. A coffee machine was a welcome addition. Only a couple of minutes walk to Santa Monica Pier and numerous restaurants within a couple of minutes walk. We didn’t have time to try their own restaurant but it looked lovely. Definitely somewhere I would return to again.

We appreciated the kind and helpful staff, and the restaurant and lobby area were pleasant. However, we found the rooms to be quite small and the outdoor pool area to be very loud as it's situated right next to a main road. Our room was also looking directly at the McDonald's with a lot of questionable people going in and out so that wasn't great.

Good stay, convenient location

Solo travel in LA. Decided to stay in Santa Monica. Hotel is in great location. 1 block from the Santa Monica Pier and walking distance to lots of great food and bars on Ocean Ave. Room was large with a sofa which was nice. Only complaint was that my room wasn’t serviced for 2 days I was there despite asking the front desk each time! Probably a mess up somewhere in their system. Nonetheless recommend the stay. Comfortable place, good location. Cheaper garage parking across the street.
