The hotel does not have a restaurant or a bar. When we booked we were told the rooms had TV's. This is not the case. This is Bed and Breakfast... Not a hotel.
Great place but not a "hotel" the property is run as a chalet. This means there is no staff cover, bar or food on a Wednesday. You need a code to enter so make sure if your a Wednesday arrival in the ski season you have the code a key has been left for your toom and you have alternative arrangements for food.
I would have given the hotel 4* but the way we were treated by staff was a bit of a let down.
We arrived in the dark, the signage is poor and the sat Nav takes you to the next street.
The staff member who greeted us couldn't find our booking which is rather alarming wen you arrive tired. I found it on her spread sheet.
The info we received was minimal. We wanted to know where to get lift passes, where the best ski shop was, where the drying room was. The basics. Some of the staff didn't know, did go and find out but this info should have been at their fingertips. We were told by the manager that there was an introductory talk on Sundays. Fine if you had booked through a tour company but we were leaving on Sunday!
I discussed with the manager that the staff need to have info at their finger tips - her story - down to new staff! I suggested that their induction be more inclusive.
Don't let my review put you off, the hotel is fine but the team need to tighten up their game.
Stayed two nights at the dent Blanche, was expecting a typical budget Ski hotel but the hotel exceeded all my expectations, clean spacious room with separate bathroom and great breakfast and afternoon tea , even a nice diy got chocolate after a night out , but the main difference was the amazing young people that ran the hotel with a smile and great efficiency.
Will definitely return
