Beautiful ground floor level, friendly staff, just a bit of an odd bedroom. I think we must have missed that it was Harry Potter themed when we booked, and so that was a bit of a surprise and in great contrast to the classiness and quality of the rest of the hotel that we saw. The bathroom was minuscule and the fixed shower head was an issue in such a tight space when you didn’t want to wash your hair. However, the bed was comfortable and the other facilities in the room were all very good.

We stayed in the Wizard themed room… Such a lovely room and a great idea. Real HP experience including a wizard breakfast too. Special coins for the tuck shop which the kids loved. Our friends also stayed in the apartment which they loved too.

Charming hotel in lovely area with awkward tipping

The hotel is charming and located in a lovely neighborhood. Check-in was smooth, and I appreciated that someone helped carry my bags up the 3 flights of stairs to my room (which I gladly tipped for). I also requested help with my luggage during checkout, and while the assistance was appreciated, the staff member was complaining about a toothache. I still tipped him for his help. What left a bit of a sour note was being asked at checkout to pay an additional 5% gratuity for the staff. It felt unexpected and a bit pressuring, especially after already tipping individually. I would recommend the hotel consider including this charge in the overall hotel fees if it’s expected, rather than springing it on guests at the end. I reluctantly agreed to pay it, but it didn’t leave me with the best final impression despite other interactions with the staff to be positive.

Harry Potter themed!! We stayed in the enchanted room and it was Harry Potter themed. We didn’t know it was Harry Potter themed, we just liked the pictures of the canopy bed and thought that it looked fun. It was a huge added bonus that it was Harry Potter themed. The room was decorated amazingly and was so fun! The room was small, but cozy. I loved the bathroom sink and all the fun furnishings they had. They had fun things for guests like a newsletter, snacks, a welcome letter, etc. They made our stay really fun! I wish we had booked more than one night! Highly recommend and I would really love to go back again and stay in the enchanted room. It was a fun part of our trip!

This was a perfect room for me as a solo traveller. The room had a very comfortable single bed, tiny but perfect bathroom and just enough space for me to open my cabin bag. The room felt a bit luxurious, very nice linen and a pretty window onto the street. It was quiet and I highly reit for one person. The village is super nice, pubs and cafes and lots of vintage stores.

Wonderful!

My husband and I and our three kids stayed in the Family Wizard Chamber with double bunk beds, and we had a wonderful experience. I highly recommend getting reservations (in advance!) for the Wizard Afternoon Tea and potion making - such a good time. The daily breakfast is delicious as well. About a 10 minute walk to Victoria Station will get you all over London, so it’s in a convenient location. The Warwick restaurant a short walk up the street is a must-visit for great food and drinks too!

Didn’t hate it here, but certainly wouldn’t recommend. I reserved a double bed, which was just two twins pushed together. Breakfast was available for an extra £20, kind of steep. The biggest issue I had was really that the WiFi was pretty much useless. I mentioned it several times, and they comped the one expensive breakfast I had which was nice. Decor was nice but was kind of just hiding the need to a major renovation. Convenient area to stay in near Victoria Station. Decent hotel, not the best value imo.

The hotel was conveniently near bus stops and the Victoria station, also near shops from about a 6 minute walk. The room was great for a single person and the bathroom was big for London. Nice hotel.

Wonderful place, from the welcoming staff to the cleanliness, the decoration, the location... We thoroughly enjoyed our one night there. We were on the top floor so that was a lot of stairs but no matter, we had a great visit.

Very busy check-in, but very quick and efficient once I reached the front of the queue. Probably just bad timing that lots of guests arrived at the sane time. My room in the top floor was comfortable and very quiet - especially by London standards. Large, good quality towels and tea and coffee facility in the room was useful.
