It was an interesting stay. It was a long long wait to get a hold of the hotel staff on the phone before we arrived to update we will arrive late. Friendly and awesome staff checked us in. We needed to warmup our food but Microwave was broken, we called and was told no technician was available until next day. There were no beddings for the Sofa Bed. We were told they did not have anymore to give. No extra towels or sheets in the room. However they gave us a Sheet. The sofa had stains and looked dirty. It does take a while when you call about extra towels or house keeping before they get to you. We were NOT aware of this but Be advised that aside from how much you paid to book, this hotel charges Every Day Destination Amenity Fee $34 and Transient Occupancy Tax $5.44. If you self Park in their Garage that is $55 a day plus Parking Tax $5.50. That was a surprise to us. The hallway smell...we couldn't figure out the smell if it was weed or something else but it was very masking. It wasn't a terrible stay overall but they can definitely make some improvements especially for how much we paid for 3 nights. We expected a little better.

Level Downtown LA has always been my preferred place to stay when I’m in the city — I appreciate the spacious, apartment-style accommodations and the convenient location. However, this most recent visit left me feeling disappointed, especially given the price point. I booked the largest unit available outside of the penthouse and spent close to $1,500 CAD for a single night. For that investment, I expected a premium experience, but unfortunately, this time around it didn’t feel worth it. I arrived at 11:30 AM, hopeful for an early check-in as I’ve been accommodated in the past. To my surprise, I was made to wait until 1/4 to 4:00 PM — the standard check-in time — despite the fact that the previous guest had already checked out the day before. It was frustrating to learn that the delay wasn't due to cleaning but rather scheduling. Repeatedly being told “check-in is at 4:00” without any flexibility or empathy was, frankly, exhausting. That said, I do want to acknowledge the one staff member — a gentleman with slicked-back hair — who saw my frustration and made an effort to get me into the unit a bit earlier. Thanks to him, I was able to check in by 3:45 PM. Still, with such a late check-in and an 11:00 AM checkout the next day, the actual usable time in the suite felt incredibly limited. For the price, I expected more — whether in flexibility, service, or at least a gesture of goodwill. Knowing that there are many luxury options in DTLA, I will consider for next time.

Peaceful stay in DTLA

I booked the Level in downtown LA for 3 nights of my family vacation. We had a great 2 room suite that was comfortable and clean. I have 3 kids, and we also enjoyed the pool area. The place was better than I expected! Only thing was we didn’t find cookware but I assumed that I could request from front desk. We cooked a frozen pizza from the nearby grocery store. Easy walking distance. Speaking of walking, we happened to be there during the march and protest to I C E and it was peaceful not crazy and being in the Level was fine.

The location of the property is great many restaurants in the area. The property itself was on point, the 2brd Jr. Suite was just what we needed. Note the 2nd bedroom is a bit small but it served its purpose. We did have a problem with the hot water we had to let the water run for at least 10 minutes before it got hot. This was before any of us took a shower. It got a little better by the 3rd day of our stay but it still wasn't really hot. Other than that our stay was great. This was my 2nd time staying here and will return for another visit. Wouldn't mind staying at another one of there properties.

The cleanliness. What I really loved was they did not have early check in available at the time but I was allowed to freshen up in their lounge/restroom which I really loved. The suite was lovely, I did not expect what I got at all. Just an all around Wonderful experience, I will be definitely booking again in the near future.

Very nice alternative to a hotel. Great amenities and very spacious rooms. However, the hallways need a good carpet cleaning and the rooms could use a deep cleaning
