Superb hotel but some bedrooms are noisy

Rooms on street over looking tram were not for me I have stayed at the midland many times and the first time that my stay was not satisfactory Low rooms Tram side of hotel Are very noisy and I was woke up by the loud squeaks and running of the tram cars Room 222 When I stay again I will ask for a higher room and away from the trams Hotel overall is amazing hence I always stay here and the vibe of the hotel - the quality and the staff is superb

It is a beautiful hotel. Connection to the Internet wasn't straight forward. Had trouble booking the spa, because of availability, but we were lucky to get a cancellation slot which really made the visit special. I would go again especially for the spa.

Fantastic hotel

Everything was perfect. Breakfast was excellent. All the staff we met were very friendly and helpful. The hotel has a great location in the city centre next to St Peter's Square tram stop. It's busy outside but the hotel is an oasis of calm tranquility once you step inside.

A special experience

I recently spent two weeks in the UK with my children, and we stayed at the Midland Hotel for the final two nights of our trip. The room was very spacious, and we all really liked it. However, on both nights, I noticed that I developed a rash on both of my hands around midnight. I do not have any known allergies, and I didn’t eat any seafood during my time in the UK. I also did not experience any similar issues while staying at other hotels earlier in the trip. When I checked out, the front desk staff asked about my stay. I mentioned the rash on my hands, and they told me they had never encountered this kind of situation before. I replied that I had also never had a rash like this before. However, after I shared this, the staff did not offer any response or acknowledgment. I just wanted to share this experience in case it might be helpful for the hotel to look into possible causes, such as room materials or cleaning products.

No Aircon.

We had booked a meal at Adam Reid's restaurant and thought we would extend our experience and stay at the hotel. The meal was excellent. The room looked good, however the Aircon did not work at all. The customer relations staff did not answer the phone when we tried to call. My husband went down to see them. They sent someone up with a not effective fan and said someone from maintenance would be up. Someone did come but just before we were going to get changed to go to the restaurant. He said he would be back after we left as it was going to require some work. Either he never came back or he couldn't mend it. When he got back to the room it was stifling.
