Awful! Room faced train tracks! Waste of money!
Pros:The Wi-Fi worked properly. I didn't have any problems connecting to the internet.
Cons:Rooms could be cleaner, rooms could be accurately described (if it faces the train tracks. guests should be informed of this), TVs that work properly.
Location:There's a park opposite the hotel. There's a pub, Sainsburys Local, Iceland supermarket and McDonald's nearby. The V&A Museum of Childhood is nearby.
1. I booked a room with a park view. I was given a room that faced the train tracks. I asked to be moved to one with a park view since that was what I booked. I was told that they only had rooms facing the train tracks available.
I had to endure horrendous noise. Every time the trains passed by, the walls and the bed shook. It was that bad. I've never experienced anything like that before. You couldn't even watch TV properly as every time the trains passed by, you couldn't hear what was being said. Trains ran frequently until half past midnight. The was the occasional train at 3 am, 3.30 am and 5 am. Trains started running frequently again from 5.30 am. Needless to say, I struggled to fall asleep and I didn't get much sleep.
2. There was a notice on the door that said that visitors weren't allowed in the guest's room. That they were only allowed in the hotel lounge.
3. There was no desk or wardrobe in the room but there was a chair.
4. Breakfast was from 8 am to 10.30 am. The food was okay. I had two slices of toast, baked beans, fried eggs and a sausage. I found the orange juice bitter and it tasted a bit like grapefruit juice to me.
5. The staff in the hotel seemed okay to me. They weren't rude or inattentive.
6. The Wi-Fi in the room worked properly. I didn't have any problems connecting to the internet.
Would I stay here again? No. Would I recommend it? No. As far as I'm concerned, it was a horrible experience and a waste of money.
