Excellent location - would stay again purely for this reason. The hotel was generally good. Really nice decor in the lobby and efficient check in for a very busy day. The service at the bar was quite slow and chaotic - wouldn’t bother getting a drink there with other options very close by. Our deluxe double room was fine but not great - I wouldn’t like to see a non deluxe room. The bed was very comfy and it was quiet at night. There was no hand soap left in the container and the shower gel had been watered down and was also nearly empty - poor for the standard of hotel. Overall the very central location redeems the other points.

Overall, a great experience. For several days there was a bad odor in the lobby, which smelled like a sewage issue or something. It was not noticeable in our 2nd floor room, but it made it impossible to enjoy the lobby area and live music. The hotel didn’t want to acknowledge the problem when I asked them about it.

Check in staff were great and went above and beyond to get our room ready for early access to let us get in before heading off to a concert at 1pm. Hugo in the sports bar was also brilliant, despite being super busy with bar customers and table orders. Great stay.
