Nothing to complain about. Staff were very friendly. easy check-in. Nice room. Comfortable nights sleep. Great location. Breakfast very good, if not a little busy; couldn't find anywhere to sit straight away but soon resolved.

Would be 5* with a new mattress

Friendly staff, great breakfast options, clean room with good views on high floor, nice shower, but bed very uncomfortable - needs a new mattress I think. Also had an accessible room which was strangely located the farthest from the lift?

We think our room had seen better days and it felt like the bed was broken. The dining area for breakfast was overrun and it was difficult to find a table, then took ages to find someone to clean it. Fix these and I would consider again

A decent hotel if used as "base" for weekend

Clean and tidy hotel, situated very close to the arndale centre. We had booked through a 3rd party booking site but when we got to the hotel, we were only given a double bed, but the reception staff arranged for the additional bed to be made up quickly. Rooms were very clean and tidy, spacious too. Only fault we had was the air con vent rattled during use - which wasn't an issue during day, but overnight was a nuisance. Breakfast is self serve buffet style and had plenty of options. Coffee was mediocre though. Overall a decent hotel if used as "base" for weekend

Weekend trip in Manchester

We chose this hotel because it was half an hour walk from the O2 Appollo. Although the check-in was quite lengthy the accommodation was very clean and the staff very helpful. We enjoyed the breakfast and would recommend it.

Simply unacceptable at a basic level.

Stayed here overnight to drop my son off at Uni for the year. I am an IHG member and have had good overall service from this Hotel group. The bare minimum of any hotel ever is basic cleanliness. Our room had a white towel hung up in the bathroom with a very noticeable brown stain on it. ( I would like to think it is chocolate but that is wishful thinking) The weird thing is it was hung up like that so the stain is on the outside in full view and I assume the maid has said yes thats fine. ( or missed it to be fair) This is unacceptable and makes you question the general Hotels cleaning standard, bedding etc. I was asked at breakfast it the room was ok and told them no and why. They did apologise and the manager came over to personally apologise ask well. Rest of the hotel is functional, location is ok ( kind of down an alley) Staff were polite and helpful but the towel overshadows all of it unfortunately.
