The resort its self was absolutely beautiful. Staff were all very kind and helpful. The butler service helping us with reservations for dinner and taxis service was fantastic. The food and beverage staff including chamber maids also very delightful. Down side of this establishment was as soon as we checked in, we were mislead into what we thought was a guided tour of the property. Which in fact ended up being an attempt to pressure us into purchasing a membership to H10 resorts. This process took up 2.5 hrs of our first morning at the Ocean El Faro establishment. Also the constant harassment to purchase over priced tours. This got so bad that we would take back ways around the resort to avoid the daily these encounters.

Just returned from 8 days at Ocean El Faro and we loved it. Two adults and 6 year old daughter booked Privelege and we all had a great time. The resort is clean and well maintained. The food at the buffett was always tasty with some different options every day. We ate à la carte at Sakura and Steakhouse and both were delicious. Maragarita restaurant was also great. The staff were always friendly and helpful. Our butler Jose was wonderful. The pool we went to (closer to the beach) was always pretty quiet and never busy. There were always lots of pool chairs available even later in the day. I do think Privelege is worth it for the extras you get. We are already planning out next trip!

Ce n'est pas un resort 5 étoiles mais plutôt 3 maximum. Les infrastructures sont vieilles et mal entretenues. Si vous voyagez dans la section prévilège les chambres sont bien mais pas spectaculaires. Cependant, si vous réservez une chambre standard, sachez qu'elles sont toutes miteuses. Les divans lits sont très salles et très inconfortables. Les restaurants à la cartes sont très bien mais pas le buffets. Les piscines et l'amazone c'est super. Par contre, la moitié des glissades n'étaient pas en fonction la semaine, seulement les week-end. Je n'y retournerai pas.

Do not stay here unless you are willing to have a bargain basement experience. The food was absolutely terrible. The facilities were not updated. There were leaks everywhere. There was mold everywhere. The staff was very friendly and the pool area was decent. But I would not bother coming back here ever again. This is literally for people who just want a cheap vacation and don’t care if the place is clean or if the food is even edible.

Such a beautiful stay, first time in DR and I would recommend this for someone who is trying to relax and enjoy a quiet time. Foods was great and flavorful. I would definitely recommend asking for Kevin as your concierge, he was very inventive, ongoing, super nice, he made sure we had everything and anything we needed or wanted. 8.5/10 for sure, #teamfruita

It was a great experience at the Ocean El faro. The atmosphere was beautiful and the architecture amazing too. A lot of entertainment day and night for kids and adults, the pools were amazing I really enjoyed the lazy river, it was my favorite.The hotel is huge so expect a lot of walking even though they have these little golf cars that drive you around but they don’t pass by so often. The food was also good and a lot of variety but to book in the speciality restaurants at night was impossible. Good thing Expedia assigned me a butler who I had no idea it was included in my booking but I m glad they did it. I was the only way to get in those kind of restaurants without hustle. Thank you Expedia! And many thanks to Jose who was great and kind all the time. The ladies at the bakery were great too the coffee was delicious. Overall a great experience I do recommend this resort and I would gladly come back as well.

Had such a good time! The staff was so fun, entertaining and interacted so well with us. Room was super clean! We had Kevin P. as our concierge and he was so attentive! He would text us every morning and look for us to see if we had any questions! He also went out his way to book a reservation for us every night!
