The food was very mediocre, breakfast was lacking fruits, vegetables and avocados (in Mexico), only bread and eggs were the majority selection. No variety at all. The room was ok, but the shower drain was not properly installed, and we have bathroom with water every time we took a shower. The water in the pool was freezing, no one was in it, everyone was at the beach. The water temp there was much warmer. The shade space is limited, you literary have to get up at 6am just to get one. Mexican restaurant was terrible, we waited 45 minutes just to get an order, and more than 1 hr to be served with food. My son and My mother got food poisoning after buffet visit on the 6th day. The best part of this resort was wild animals around it,, lots of fun feeding and observing them. Do not recommend!!

Room was nice, nothing fancy or anything considered 4star, but comfortable. No bugs, or leaking water anywhere. Grounds were good, lots of wildlife. Pools ok, could use a good cleaning on the pool floors, but it was a little cool so we didn’t get in-just sat at the side with our legs in. We weren’t at the beach area that much, although we would have liked to be. Seemed to be not enough chairs and very crowded, so mostly stayed at the pools. Food was decent, better than expected. We didn’t do any of the restaurants, just didn’t want to go to the extra effort of doing all that. Our butler was good, very nice. Didn’t see him much, but if we reached out to him he replied almost immediately. We were there between Christmas and New Years, NYE dinner was a cluster. Too many people all in the same area at once, so very long lines and wait time to get into buffet to be seated, then to get food from buffet. Wasn’t impressed, left and went to room and had room service. Room service food as expected, mediocre. Would possibly return, but thinking for slightly more $$ could be at a much nicer place next time. Not bad for the $ we paid, but lacking in some areas. We did have a good time so that’s all that really matters I guess.

Overall this is very good resort. Almost perfect. Rooms are great especially if you get one with your own pool which we did. Great food. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Many pools to choose from. Our recent stay at Ocean Riviera Paradise was overshadowed by a serious safety concern—especially given that we had booked a Junior Suite with the Privilege upgrade and expected a higher standard of care. During our stay, a stranger was mistakenly allowed into our room. This was an alarming and unacceptable breach of guest security, and the situation that followed was handled poorly, with unclear communication and a response that did not reflect the seriousness of the incident. As a result, we felt unsafe for the remainder of our trip. There were also some frustrations with inconsistent information about what was included, a few unexpected charges, and limited engagement for older children, as the kids club and water park are better suited to younger ages (aged 4-6). The resort grounds are beautiful and there is clear potential for a wonderful family vacation, but meaningful improvements in commitment to guest experience are needed.

Resort was clean. Rooms were good. Male bartenders particularly in lobby less than friendly. Female wait staff fantastic. Food gets just an ok. There was renovations being completed in room next to ours and the chemical smell was intolerable. Numerous attempts were made to address situation and only received a “Hello?” Our last night at 9:48 pm. A little late. Used translator on phone to try and get workers to leave doors open to no avail with language barrier. Woke up with terrible headaches and sore throats from it. Front desk was zero help. All our clothes reeked and my sleep app took a long time to get smell out of it. Will not be visiting this resort again.

Loved the place. I always check reviews, and chose this resort because of all the good feedback on quality of food, great size pools and service. Didnt disappoint. Great restaurants food including the buffets. We were able to get reservations on all the restaurants for dinner, with the exception of the Blue moon, the Italian one was the favorite! Multiple pool to choose from, the one by the beach is my favorite, i just hope it has more music and activities, as they have on other pool locations. Good size beach to walk by, but water shoes is recommended for swimming on the beach. Loved the plaintain and the green and red healthy juice from the breakfast buffet! Will definitely recommend this resort!

We stayed at this resort for 7 nights with a family group of 13 (8 adults and 5 children) to celebrate my father’s 80th birthday. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing from the start. Before arrival, we communicated through Expedia and the resort messenger and were promised birthday recognition, a room above the first floor, and help arranging a private family dinner. None of these promises were honored. Throughout our stay, many staff members were consistently rude and unhelpful, from check-in to restaurants. Despite staying over a week, our family was never able to sit together for a single meal. Even when nearby tables were empty, staff firmly refused to seat us closer, and the promised private dinner never happened. Restaurant reservations were also mishandled multiple times, often without apologies. Room soundproofing was another major issue. Our room was connected to the next room by a door, and noise could be clearly heard late at night and early in the morning, making it difficult to rest. We also faced repeated issues with currency exchange at the front desk and resort shop, which were handled very unprofessionally. To be fair, the food was generally decent, and one staff member at the service desk who handled our complaint was kind and helpful. This was our fifth trip to Mexico, and we have never experienced service this poor, especially at a so-called 5-star resort. They clean our room everyday but this morning at the buffet area we ask for decaf and one of the server been ignorant to us she dump the sachet of coffee in front of us...lunch in seafood restaurant pizza ,ceviche, and nachos are great but the fried fish fries and fish n chips are double fry, too oily This is only constructive review but theirs always room for improvement
