The food needs an overhaul. I understand these places are trying to protect margings and profitability. But they need to put a little more effort into the food in regards to the resturants. The buffet was fine. Other than that the staff was friendly rooms and facilities were clean drinks were good.

The resort did not live up to its 5-star rating at all. If you're looking to relax, I would recommend avoiding this place. It was difficult to navigate, with challenges in getting reservations, finding chairs, obtaining towels, and making restaurant bookings. The food was just okay, with poor quality, even at the restaurants that required reservations. The entire resort was overcrowded, leading to long wait times for everything. For instance, there was only one coffee shop, and the line to order was always excessively long. There weren't enough snack options near the beach, which made it challenging to go back and forth with kids. At the pool, you could only get one towel with a card provided by the resort, and if you lost that card, there was a $100 penalty. Additionally, there were not enough chairs available at either the beach or the pools. Reserving chairs felt like a mission that required planning the night before. Overall, I would rate this as a 3-star hotel. The highlights were the beautiful landscaping and the salad bar, which we enjoyed.

The wait staff was excellent even though they are short staffed. The check in process is incredibly long and then you are met with a time share presentation option. Dont pay for an upgrade, it isnt even close to worth it. The rooms are good and the property is massive. Its a very long walk from the beach to where any activities/front desk are. Be prepared to walk alot because the trollys are inconsistent at best. The Terraza restaurant should be closed down, it was inedible. Room service is not included (stated it was), transportation to and from aiport not included (stated it was) and there were alkt of acticities that claimed to be included and were not. Everything closes around 9 to 10 pm there are no activities or bars after that, which is really disappointing. You cant get an uber or taxi at this property because the location is blocked out so it forces you to book an excursion with the people on site (which ended up being a nightmare with all the hidden fees). You cant even get into play del carmen without being charged through the excursion people. The resort claims to have nothing to do with them so when it all inevitably goes wrong they wont take any responsibility. There is alot of activites geared towards children. I would not recommend staying at this property for what they charge, the value is not there. I had higher hopes but was ultimately disappointed.
