The only two positives this property had were its breakfast and beach access. The staff was not friendly, the drinks were poor quality, dining was limited, and WiFi was spotty. The check in/out process was the lengthiest one I’ve ever been too. Plan at least an hour. Their system is old and the staff is unorganized. One member of our party checked out early, left their wristband at the front as instructed by staff the night before. The staff insisted she left with it and charged us $150 or wouldn’t let us leave. I booked two rooms on the same card, same transaction and we were put on different floors, they refused to move us closer. The elevator system was terrible, always packed and stops at every floor. There was no way to book dinner reservations for more than 4 people and even then the reservations were extremely limited, we had to book 2 days in advance and ask to be seated together on arrival. We ended up eating off property 2 nights due to this. The breakfast buffet was nice, lots of made to order options. Once breakfast was over the food choices went downhill. The WiFi is required to book any reservations on their outdated app but hardly worked more than a couple minutes.

The helper in buffet will close earlier then they was supposed to ,most all servers where great one older guys was not so nice all the restaurants where great ! All the daniel in customer service where amazing you have 3 so sad but most of the women didn’t now what they was doing The party events was amazing DJs level 18 was amazing we did have an incident. My dad was trying to leave our room and the door slammed on his hand There is a second door with no door knob that is dangerous as well besides the little issues, I would love to come back 8 out of ten

Clean and fun hotel with an awesome pool and beach area. Staff was pretty solid but we did have a few bad experiences with rude bartenders at the swim up bar. Can’t really review the food because we ate off the resort for every meal except breakfast.

It’s in a beautiful beach location with perfect walkable distance to little shops, bars, clubs, etc. it’s the PERFECT hotel if you’re looking to come party!! My boyfriend and I stayed here for my birthday and we are 100% planning another vacation here next year and we will definitely be staying at the Royalton Chic again.

We recently stayed at a hotel in Cancun and had a mixed experience that unfortunately leaned more negative than positive. Starting with the issues: the front desk staff were often unhelpful, and a few were outright rude. One of the waiters even made an inappropriate comment about how much food we were going to eat, which was both unprofessional and uncomfortable. The facilities were lacking in upkeep. The poolside washrooms were consistently dirty, many beach chairs were ripped or broken, and the tap and shower water had a strong, unpleasant odor. Although we were charged a beach cleaning fee, the beach remained covered in seaweed for most of the week and was only cleaned once. We also had a frustrating experience when my sister, who had a day pass and a reservation booked in advance, was held at the gate by security and left waiting outside in the morning. That said, there were a few standout positives. The room cleaning staff were incredibly kind and thorough, the entertainment team worked hard to create a fun atmosphere, and a couple of the waiters were genuinely welcoming and attentive. Overall, while there were moments we appreciated, the service inconsistencies and facility issues make it unlikely we would return unless significant improvements are made.
