It is a nice small resort. The beach was amazing, and the pool was also pleasantly surprised with deep 2.75 m areas. Food compared to other resorts was more tasty. I really loved the coffee bar close to the pool area. Of course if you wanna pointed something negative you can find everywhere. I give this resort 5 stars. P.S Resort must make more flexible time and price for late check out

Very outdated. Needs more than a facelift. Staff is very nice and accommodating. Alfonso from customer service is very helpful. The only benefit from paying for privileged was the ability to go to BLoved restaurant which is on the beach for breakfast and lunch. Servers were very nice, food good and view fantastic.

First time staying at the Catalonia Playa Maroma resort and it was decent. If you are looking for a quiet place with your family, this is the place. There really was not a lot of single people there, so if you’re looking to mingle this is not the place lol more of a family Resort. The staff were amazing tho! Very kind and friendly! I had injured my ankle at an excursion, and they had no problem riding me around since I couldn’t really walk. Ruben, one of the staff was always making sure we were okay and had a good time. He checked in on us frequently and always kept great energy!

Loved the property it was expansive and required a lot of walking. Beach was beautiful and seaweed was not an issue but if it was there it was cleaned regularly. Pool was nice and had zero entry and poolside bars There was almost too much of a selection of food and you could find anything to eat.

This property is always a win! The beach is terrific. Great sand and ample amounts of shade if you need it! The wait staff goes above and beyond to meet all needs and the bell boys and guest service people have become friends! Always a top choice for us!

Liked it other than a few things. Only bar at night is the lobby. This was bad for us as we like the outside near the beach. Mexican restaurant no longer open at lunch doing crepes and other lunch stuff. Staff were awesome. Was our third time. Likely our last since Catalonia big bosses in spain don’t listen to feedback and their own staff are leaving

We brought our 3 month old and loved it! Quiet at night, lots of options for hanging out around the pool/beach. Our only complaint was the BLoved Restaurant had terrible service/rude manager. Lots of nature around! Very natural looking resort.

My wife and I recently spent 4 nights at Catalonia Playa Maroma and had a wonderful experience overall. The resort is beautiful and well-maintained, though not as flashy or upscale as some of the pricier options nearby—which, honestly, was perfectly fine for us. It offers great value without compromising on comfort or service. The food wasn’t exceptional, but it was consistently good with enough variety to keep things interesting. We had very little to complain about in that department. The only downside was the beach. There was some sort of vegetation floating in the water during our stay, which made it less enjoyable to swim in. As a result, we spent more time by the pool, which turned out to be a great alternative. From what we gathered, this issue was affecting most resorts in the area, so it’s not something specific to Catalonia Playa Maroma. All in all, we had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay. The atmosphere, service, and overall experience made it a great place to unwind. Would definitely recommend it to couples looking for a laid-back and scenic vacation spot.
