Receptionist Dean was fabulous

Excellent location next to the train station Upon arrival we was greeted by a very cheerful friendly receptionist called Dean that went out of his way to make us welcome and he upgraded our room which made our stay wonderful. The room was lovely and a great view of the city . The bed was so comfy which aided a good nights sleep

Did the job but expected better

The bed was comfy, reception area lovely and staff very friendly. Room was very worn, marks and scuffs all over walls, water stains coming from the air vent. Hairs on the chair and in the bath which was a little off putting. The bathroom needed a repaint. Also, there was a lot of noise coming from outside so it was hard to sleep but it was a Saturday night. Overall it did the job for a one night stay but expected better from the room.

Excellent location next to the train station. Beautifully designed hotel which looks recently renovated. Friendly staff with excellent customer service. Yummy breakfast with good choices. Very clean. Would definitely stay here again.

Exceptional service from check-in staff who upgraded our accommodation. Very friendly and helpful staff and the bed was one of the most comfortable we’ve slept in. The hotel itself was very quiet considering it is in the city centre.

Upon arrival check in was great, room was lovely however opening the window to see huge building work outside the hotel below our window I wasn’t told this prior to booking. The building work started at 6 am not exactly a relaxing stay that I had planned. Would avoid until the building work has been completed. Would have appreciated if the hotel had mentioned this.

Love this hotel location right in the city square can’t be beat. The only problem was, told on two occasions that breakfast finished later than it actually did, because they have different times for weekends and week days so ended up missing breakfast that we paid extra for, and as usual when complained just told next time I book they will upgrade us… erm not really but hey ho!
