Fabulous trip to the Hilton Birmingham Metropole

As a disabled visitor who had had my handbag stolen on my journey to the hotel, I can't thank the kind and caring staff enough for all their help & support. This was a one night stay. I will definitely be back again for it's location to everything you need.

Room felt shabby and required cleaning. Carpet had stains, bathroom had numerous hairs all over the floor, duvet cover had dirt mark on side and toilet roll was dirty. Flush didn't work well. Breakfast buffet is extensive, good choices however due to room cleanliness, really disappointing for over £250 for a night's stay!

Great hotel, with good facilities.

A really comfortable, well serviced hotel. The leisure centre is especially good and the staff great. I just wish that hotels these days had in-room fridges as they are just so useful to store some food and drink during your stay as when you're on business you don't always want to eat out.

Very good overall

The hotel seems a bit old (lift slow, pool not very clean), but yet it is still very good compared to the average ones. The beds are comfortable, the room was very clean overall. The breakfast is good but lack a little bit of sweet choices. The people were nice. Overall it was a good stay but I was hoping a little something more from an Hilton, probably mainly because the building feels old.

The best part of £200 for what is essentially Hilton's basic-tier room is very steep. The room was simple, but modern. Kingsize bed, 'balcony' overlooking the carpark (lake to the right). TV remote wasn't the easiest to use. Bathroom looked dated - with just a basic, fixed shower head in a bath, and there seemed to be no way of adjusting the temperature. As it's near the airport it is normal for guests to be walking the corridors during the early hours - yet the doors offer zero level of soundproofing. We heard guests talking with staff, and greeting each other from around 5am.
