Checked in early which was great. Had to ring reception as soon as we got in the room as it was a Family room to sleep three with sofa bed which wasn’t made up neither was there enough shower towels for us. The room was clearly prepped for two people despite me being told they’d not got to do the bed yet. Surely if the room was ready for us to check into the bed should be ready. I had to ring reception again, this time for extra towels, we left the room to go out and on return had to ring again at 6pm for towels again. The room wasn’t big enough for three people and not enough storage for all our bags and shoes etc. The toilet seat in the bathroom was broken. Breakfast was a good selection but the plates and mugs didn’t seem very clean. I picked up a dish that felt like it had remnants of the dishwasher stuck to it and a mug the same. I picked up a second mug which had dried green stuff around the top and dried coffee stains down the side of it. This put me off a coffee so didn’t have one. Overall I don’t think the room was worth the amount paid unfortunately and I wouldn’t stay again.

Efficient check in. Very friendly and helpful staff. Had an issue with the TV remote in our room which the staff rectified immediately by sending a replacement to the room. Clean and spacious room with comfy bed and ample storage for clothes. Iron and hair dryer worked perfectly. Spacious shower cubicle with plenty of hot, high pressure water, and complimentary shower gel and shampoo. Breakfast is buffet style with a great choice of full English and continental ingredients, including a waffle maker for the kids. Stayed for 2 nights and couldn’t fault the place. Value for what we paid and would definitely re-book.

We recently stayed for 2 nights as a family of 4. Check in was quick and easy. Room was lovely and clean. Breakfast was good but felt there wasn’t a huge choice. We had dinner in hotel on night 2 and was quite disappointed. They tried to bring our starters and mains out at same time to which we asked if we could have starter fist and then main, they said they would just have to put them on the hot plate until we were ready. When they finally brought them out quite a while after we had finished our starter, the kids chicken nuggets were so over cooked that they couldn’t eat them. I wish i had said to someone at the time but we had waited such a long time we just left it as wanted to get along to the Pier before it closed. Apart from that we had a lovely stay. I felt the food & drinks were reasonably priced.

Excellent, clean hotel with very obliging staff

The room and bathroom were very spacious and spotlessly clean. Our room was ready early, which was very helpful as we had arranged to meet family at the Tower earlier than the designated check-in time. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and, in particular, at breakfast one of your members of staff, Dane, moved tables and chairs around in the overspill dining area to allow all our family to sit together. He really was so obliging and even checked with us later that everything was to our liking. There was a good choice of food at breakfast and even though the restaurant was very busy, everything was stocked well. My family and I would definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends.

Gone majorly down hill

Made to wait till 2:58pm for check in , when others were able to check in long before . Been to this hotel around 7 times now over the years ,very doubt we will be back , mentioned to the check in member of staff about the extremely hard beds, when my mum has spinal issues and has a hurt her back just before coming , I messaged the property 3 times with no response but messages to say were expecting you etc straight after my message . Hotel has gone down hill since we first came , the rooms used to be spotless , streek free glass , clean , comfy beds , our fan needs cleaned and I said to guy on reception and he said its just switched off at our end and that was it , still doesn't work . Curtains need a good clean , the glass and tv in our room is very streaky , the mirror in the bathroom looks smashed at the bottom , piece of metal fell off shower on first use , the guy on check in to resolve the hard beds were ask for some quilts to pad it , asked and the housekeeper was very fast and came with a mattress topper but even then it still didn't help . Breakfast used to be a big variety of hot food now its very basic , beans , mushrooms , scrambled egg, sausages and bacon and little hash browns . The fresh juice was extremely strong both apple and orange . Coffees aren't great out the machine . The breakfast staff are very thorough and clear away your plates quickly. Bathroom door is very difficult to lock , no conditioner on the rack , beds crunch every time you turn
