Disappointing

Stayed at Apex London several times, but this one didn’t match the standard. great location, but there was a couple of bits of rubbish on the floor when we arrived that was never cleaned upon housekeeping and the pool was full of kids even though we had to book a slot and we booked outside of the family hours. Didn’t have the same luxe feel of the London branches. It all seemed a bit tired.

Avoid this hotel! The customer service here is shockingly poor, we stayed there with our two small children and they made our stay very difficult. - We booked to have dinner on our first night and when we arrived at the restaurant there was no staff there and the restaurant looked like it was still untidy from the breakfast session. After asking the staff twice for some service we ended up having to leave the hotel and get dinner elsewhere - We left our room at 10.30am and came back to the hotel at 3pm to find our room had not been cleaned. I asked at reception and was told they prioritise cleaning new arrival rooms not current guests - At check in they forgot to give us our expedia and hotel discounts - We had selected an early check in and was only informed the night before that this was not available meaning we had to alter our travel plans - There was not coffee at breakfast due to a broken machine and on 3 other occasions we were told an item was 'out of stock' so we couldn't order it - Outside our room there was piles of dirty towels and linens, that were left there by the cleaning staff

The property is centrally located which is great. Check in was nice and easy, as our room wasn't ready when we arrived, we we're able to drop our bags off and check in later. The only issue we had was with getting the room refreshed the next day. We left the hotel for around 8.30am and put a sign outside the door for room refresh. We cane back for around 3.30pm and the room hadnt been cleaned which was disappointing. Housekeeping came around 4.30pm but that was too late. Normally whenever I've stayed away housekeeping usually come during the morning/mid-day when guests are out to refresh the room. This is the only thing we we're disappointed with.

Great stay at the Apex Hotel. Check in was fab with Jessica and who was super welcoming. Service in the bar was excellent - Alfie was fantastic, really friendly & chatty. Breakfast was good but the service was hit & miss… seemed understaffed 2/3 days of our stay. Food was great though & choice was brilliant.

We enjoy the pool, sauna and steam room about 2pm and had it almost to ourselves. The service was impeccable, the bedding was very good quality, the bathroom well appointed, and the room recently renovated.

Our second stay at this hotel with children. Ideal set up for rooms with a double bed and two singles. Room was on the whole very good. Reasonable size and comfy beds. There was quite a lot of dust in the corners by the beds which let it down. The worst issue was the drain in the shower - had a terrible sewage like smell that lasted the whole time we were there. Was fine when the shower door was closed but having a shower was unpleasant. We did report it (quite late in the evening) and had an email from reception at 4am(ish) asking us to let them know when it was convenient for maintenance to attend but as we were only there for one night, it wasn’t really worth us trying to resolve it. We did report again on check out and staff were apologetic and said they’d get it sorted. Aside from this, hotel is in a great location - walkable to all the main city centre sights and restaurants. We would definitely stay again.

The hotel is on walkable distance to city centre. Also was very quiet and clean. The swimming pool was the jackpot for the kids. The downside was the car park is located 6 minutes by walk and it's not very convenient if you have too many backs. The restaurant was very nice atmosphere, the food was lovely but the service was a bit slow. Overall our experience was excellent and we will visit the hotel again.
