I had to go Back down to the front desk 3 times the first evening because my keycard didn’t work. Then once again the second night, and once again the third night. I parked in the parking lot for 34 mins just dropping off and checking in. I have received a parking fine for 100 pounds(60 if I pay within a certain period. If I didn’t have to go back and forth to the desk for the key correcting. The breakfast which I paid for at the time was awful. Tasteless crap for the most part. Plus the sound of construction. Never again. to an Ibis. You should have the parking crew give grace period to unload, because there is no way on the street.

I have stayed at many Ibis hotels. They are generally good value for the money and simple. The problem with this stay was the outright false information on the front page about the hotel location. They were nowhere close to the O2 Arena, which had to be accessed with a 10 minute walk to the train station and two different train links- about 30 minutes away in total to be more accurate, and impossible to walk. Based on the page stating they were about 1/2 mile away, that is just a wrong claim as they are not even 1/2 mile away "as a crow flies". There is also no "restaurant" in the hotel, as they claim. There is a good breakfast service, but no actual restaurant. You can get a beer and chips or candy bar after breakfast, but there is no proper restaurant as they claim. You have to go across the street to an Italian place, or a much longer walk into the financial district about 15-20 minutes away for restaurants. Also, the airconditioning system was shut off for the season, so the rooms were stuffy. The staff was very helpful and pleasant and hard-working, which was a saving grace. The hotel is being remodeled which it badly needs, so beware there will be noise all day long. I honestly have no clue how some reviews state this is a "great location", unless by that they meant its pretty remote with nothing really great nearby....

The ibis Canary Wharf was clean and very modern however no one shared there was work being carried out in the hotel. Therefore we paid to check in early after an early start and couldn’t sleep due to banging and drilling. I would not have paid for this if someone had told us. The fire alarm then went off due to the works which was far from ideal.
